TAUNTON, Mass. (AP) - Family members say a 16-year-old Massachusetts boy struck by a car Friday night has died.

An aunt and a grandmother tell the Taunton Daily Gazette (https://bit.ly/2vwS9OW ) that Taunton resident Raekwuan Jenkins died early Saturday from injuries sustained in the crash.

He was hit around 10 p.m. Friday by a 28-year-old driver who stayed at the scene.



Police say the driver has not been cited.

Jenkins was supposed to start his sophomore year of high school this week.

His aunt, Arlene Jenkins, says a GoFundMe page has been set up to cover funeral expenses.
