Woman injured in fire in New Castle

NEW CASTLE, Del. (AP) - A 63-year-old woman has been injured in a fire in New Castle.

The News Journal reports (https://delonline.us/2uVpXJw ) that New Castle County paramedics were sent Sunday morning, along with Minquadale, Holloway Terrace, Good will and Minquas fire companies for a report of a fire.

The residence was burning, and emergency responders found a fire in a bedroom.

The woman was found suffering possible airway burns. She was treated and taken to the trauma center at Christiana Hospital, and officials say she was stable at the time of transport.
