JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) - Officials in northwestern Wyoming have released the name of a 62-year-old man who died in a weekend rafting accident on the Snake River.

Teton County Coroner Brent Blue says James Hobson of Jackson Hole died Sunday afternoon after falling out of a raft. Officials said Hobson had not been wearing a life jacket while he was fishing with two others. Blue says Hobson did not have the full use of one of his arms.

Other rafters found Hobson downstream, but efforts to resuscitate him were unsuccessful.

The accident occurred between Wilson and South Park - a stretch of river that is accessible only by boat.
