RUTLAND, Vt. (AP) - A former Rutland city attorney is appealing his second prison sentence in a drunken driving hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian.
Christopher Sullivan has filed a notice of appeal and is seeking a public defender to represent him.
Sullivan was sentenced this month to four to 10 years for the crash that killed 71-year-old Mary Jane Outslay, of Mendon, in 2013 as she tried to cross a Rutland street. It was the second time Sullivan had received the sentence after he appealed the original one.
The Rutland Herald reports (https://bit.ly/2wrjkOF ) that Sullivan was convicted in 2015 of DUI with death resulting and leaving the scene of a fatal crash.
