MIAMI (AP) - The U.S. Coast Guard airlifted a 25-year-old man from a Bahamian-flagged fishing vessel off the Florida Keys.
A crew hoisted the man onto a helicopter early Friday morning some 82 miles (131 kilometers) southwest of Key Largo.
The 95-foot fishing vessel Fish farmer contacted the Coast Guard around 8:10 p.m. Thursday, saying one of their crewmembers needed medical attention.
The rescue crew landed at Florida Keys International Airport where an awaiting emergency crew took him to a hospital in Marathon.
The man’s condition wasn’t immediately available.
