ATLANTA (AP) - Police are investigating after a decomposing body was found off a Georgia interstate.

Local news outlets report, DeKalb County police spokeswoman Shiera Campbell says a tip came in about the body Wednesday around 6:30 p.m. She says investigators found the body down an embankment off westbound I-20 in Atlanta.

The medical examiner’s office currently has the body and is working to identify it. Campbell says the body was so badly decomposed that investigators couldn’t tell if it belonged to a man or a woman.

Campbell says the body was found a near the home of 78-year-old Millicent Williams. Gregory Williams is accused of killing his grandmother Millicent Williams and disposing of her body, which hasn’t been found. Campbell wouldn’t say whether police believe the body is that of Millicent Williams.
