VICKSBURG, Miss. (AP) - A daily newspaper in Mississippi has a new editor.
The Vicksburg Post reports that Rob Sigler began his job there Tuesday. For the past two years, he has been managing editor of another Mississippi newspaper, The Oxford Eagle.
Both papers are owned by Boone Newspapers Inc.
Jan Griffey, who previously served as editor, has been named the newspaper’s general manager. Publisher Tim Reeves has left the paper to pursue other opportunities.
Sigler graduated from Harrison Central High School in Gulfport in 1983. He earned a degree in history and journalism from Delta State University in 1988. He has worked for the Picayune Item, the Laurel Leader-Call and The Chronicle, also in Laurel.
