WASHINGTON (AP) - A District of Columbia man is being held without bond in the fatal shooting a 17-year-old girl.
Twenty-one-year-old Philip Carlos McDaniel is facing charged in the shooting of Jamahri Sydor.
Sydor was a recent graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, where she a cheerleader and choir member.
Authorities say Sydor was hit by gunfire Thursday afternoon while driving in Northeast Washington. She died of her injuries Saturday.
McDaniel is scheduled to appear at a preliminary hearing on Aug. 28.
