WILLIAMSTOWN, N.J. (AP) - A New Jersey man’s search for the owner of a lost high school class ring ended with a touching exchange.
WPVI-TV reports (https://6abc.cm/2vVzzmA ) Harry Boody, of Clayton, discovered a Williamstown High School class ring earlier this summer on an elementary playground during a metal detector search. The ring was from the class of 1990 and was inscribed with the initials “A-K-T”.
Boody determined a woman named Ayana Thurman was the owner of the ring but was dismayed to learn she died in 2015. However, Boody was able to find her son, Chase Toliver.
Boody gave the ring to Toliver Wednesday in Williamstown. Toliver thanked Boody for his efforts. He says doesn’t have many of his mother’s personal belongings so receiving the lost ring meant a lot to him.
