Woman’s body found outside apartment complex in Mississippi

TUPELO, Miss. (AP) - Authorities say a woman’s body was found outside of an apartment complex in Mississippi.

The Clarion-Ledger reports police responded to reports of a dead body at Westwood Apartments in Tupelo on Monday morning. The victim’s identity has not been released.

Tupelo communications director Leesha Faulkner says it appears the victim was shot.

An investigation is ongoing. Further details have not been released.
