PITTSBURGH (AP) - Authorities in western Pennsylvania are investigating a shooting in Pittsburgh that sent a woman to the hospital.
The city’s public safety department said officers were sent shortly before 11 p.m. Saturday to investigate a report of shots fired and a car crash in the Hazelwood neighborhood. They found a Cadillac that had been shot as well as shell casings, and reported finding blood inside the car but no victim.
Shortly after 11 p.m. Saturday, a 33-year-old North Versailles (Vehr-SAYLES’) woman showed up at UPMC Presbyterian with two gunshot wounds. Police said the woman, who was last reported in stable condition, was the driver of the car.
The Group Violence Initiative Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding the gunfire.
