BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - A 49-year-old Buffalo man has pleaded guilty to training pit bulls for illegal dog-fighting.

Erie County District Attorney John Flynn says Shondel Stephens was using his residence as a training facility for dog fighting. Agents from the SPCA entered the home with a search warrant in August and found two severely injured pit bulls and training equipment.

Stephens faces up to four years in prison when he’s sentenced on June 25.
