HOLBROOK, Ariz. (AP) - Navajo County Sheriff’s officials say a teenage girl is dead after a rollover crash in Holbrook.

They say a citizen came upon the accident scene about 1 a.m. Wednesday and saw two people on the ground near the vehicle.

Sheriff’s deputies say emergency crews declared the girl dead at the scene. She’s been identified as 16-year-old Fiona Kim Newman of Holbrook.

Authorities say a 22-year-old man believed to be the driver of the car was flown to Flagstaff Medical Center for treatment of undisclosed injuries.

Sheriff’s deputies say a 16-year-old male passenger also survived the crash.

Authorities say the car apparently was speeding and ran off the roadway before rolling over.

They say alcohol use by the driver is believed to be a contributing factor in the fatal crash.
