FRESNO, Calif. (AP) - A California man charged with killing a family while drinking and driving is pleading not guilty to murder.

The Fresno Bee reports (https://bit.ly/2o6twYH ) 42-year-old Adalberto Carrillo of Tulare pleaded not guilty Monday to three counts of homicide and related charges. The Kings County District Attorney’s Office says Carrillo was also charged with three counts of gross vehicular manslaughter while driving under the influence of alcohol.

Carrillo is charged with killing Alphonso Wimbley, his wife Kristin Wimbley and their 13-year-old son Kyan Wimbley on March 27. Carrillo crashed into the Wimbley family’s car when he ran a stop sign before a California highway.



Officials say Carrillo is being held at Kings County Jail without bail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 17.
