FULLERTON, Calif. (AP) - Authorities say a truck driver and his female passenger were seriously injured when a big rig veered off a road and slammed into an apartment complex in Southern California.
Residents say it sounded like an earthquake when the tractor-trailer crashed into the building around 6 a.m. Sunday in suburban Fullerton.
Police Sgt. Jon Radus says three residents - a couple and their 2-year-old daughter - were hospitalized with minor injuries as a precaution. Five apartment units were evacuated.
The Orange County Register says (https://bit.ly/2oMPD87) the 44-year-old driver and his 42-year-old passenger were hospitalized with serious injuries.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
