MOUNT WOLF, Pa. (AP) - A coroner say a 19-year-old woman has died from head injuries that police say happen when she was beaten after returning to her Pennsylvania home.

Northeastern Regional Police believe Ahshantianna (ah-shan-tee-AHN’-ah) Johnson returned to her Mount Wolf residence and interrupted a home invasion about 3 a.m. March 25.

Police hoped to interview Johnson, but she never regained consciousness before dying Thursday at York Hospital.

The York County coroner on Saturday ruled her death a homicide from head injuries.

Police aren’t sure how many people assaulted Johnson.
