HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) - A head-on crash has left two women dead in New Jersey.
Hamilton Township police say the crash happened around 3:45 p.m. Friday.
They say 35-year-old Allison Salerno, of Vineland, was westbound on Bears Head Road when her car crossed the center line and sideswiped a vehicle driven by 51-year-old Barry Lubin, also of Vineland. Salerno’s car then collided head-on with another vehicle driven by 48-year-old Providence Colon, of Pleasantville.
Salerno was pronounced dead at the scene, while Colon died a short time later at a hospital. Lubin was not injured.
Authorities say it’s not yet known why Salerno’s vehicle crossed over the center line.
A stretch of the roadway was shut down for several hours while authorities investigated the crash.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
