MALDEN, Mass. (AP) - Fire officials say 17 people were treated at hospitals after being sickened by a possible chemical spill at a health care facility in Malden.
The building on Savin Street was evacuated after the incident Friday afternoon and 15 people who complained of nausea and breathing difficulties were taken to area hospitals to be examined.
The facility, which houses doctors’ offices, was allowed to reopen later in the day.
It was not immediately clear what kind of chemical was involved or how the accident occurred.
