MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) - Norwich University is set to break ground on a nearly $50 million construction and renovation project.

The money will go toward Mack Hall, a new academic building, and renovations to Webb, Dewey and Ainsworth halls. A ground breaking ceremony will be held Friday.

The project is the second major construction project to be completed as part of a $100 million campaign. The first major project was a nearly $7 million renovation to a university library.

According to Norwich University’s project schedule, Mack and Ainsworth halls are expected to be completed by next year, and Dewey and Ainsworth halls should be finished by 2019.
