Body found in burned car identified

STONEWALL, La. (AP) - A woman whose body was found inside a burning car in DeSoto Parish has been identified.

The Louisiana State Fire Marshal’s Office identified the victim as 51-year-old Kelly Jo Brunettin.

Chief Deputy Brant Thompson tells KSLA-TV (https://bit.ly/2pqmr3H ) the car was found around 1:45 a.m. Friday on Interstate 49 southbound near Stonewall.

According to an autopsy report, Brunettin died from smoke inhalation.

The fire marshal’s office is working to determine the cause of the fire.
