INDIANA, Pa. (AP) - A judge has ordered an Indiana University of Pennsylvania student to stand trial on felony homicide and assault charges over a deadly fight with his fraternity brother.

Indiana Borough police say 20-year-old Brady DiStefano choked Caleb Zweig during the February brawl. Zweig died at a hospital.

An attorney for DiStefano says both charges should be dropped after a pathologist testified there was no evidence showing Zweig was strangled. Instead, he points to a surgery performed on Zweig to correct a heart defect.

District Attorney Patrick Dougherty says DiStefano was seen with his hands around Zweig’s neck. He says, “There’s no other reason to support why this young man is dead.”

A trial date for DiStefano has not been set.
