SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) - Savannah-Chatham police are investigating a crash that left a moped driver dead.

The Savannah Morning News reports (https://bit.ly/2ok4Opb ) that 64-year-old Ambalal Patel was struck by 44-year-old Christina Ortiz on Highway 204 near the Forrest River Bridge on Saturday night. Patel died of his injuries.

Police spokeswoman Hillary Nielsen says Ortiz has been arrested on charges of driving under the influence and following too closely.



It’s unclear if she has a lawyer.
