BALTIMORE (AP) - Spring weather means the beginning of farmers market season in Baltimore.

The Baltimore Farmers Market and Bazaar opened Sunday for its 40th season.

The market runs from 7 a.m. to noon on Sundays through Dec. 17. It’s the largest producer-only farmers in Maryland.

The Baltimore Sun reports (https://bsun.md/2q4EsUq) that the market is celebrating 40 years with promotions on the first Sunday of the month. For example, nurses will get a discount in June.

Megan Bosse is an official with the Baltimore Office of Promotion & the Arts. She tells the newspaper that families spent about $10 million at the market last year.
