ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) - Five student chefs will compete in Orlando this weekend for the chance to have their recipe served in school cafeterias.

The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services will host the final “Fresh From Florida” Student Chef Cook-Off in Orlando on Saturday. Dishes will be scored on: taste, appearance, creativity, school food service-appropriateness, best and most use of local ingredients and execution.

The finalists are: Gianna Rivera, Katelynn Denny, Leonard Paez, Sheldon Riley and Wesley Hill.



The dishes include citrus chicken taco with watermelon salsa, seahawk confetti salad, Tex Mex chicken and vegetable quinoa salad, southwestern chicken and orzo salad and a sautéed chicken salad with citrus bell pepper salsa.
