DALLAS (AP) - A senior at the University of Houston will receive a $5,000 scholarship from the Texas Associated Press Broadcasters organization.
The TAPB board on Thursday announced the 2017 scholarship winner is Marissa Cummings of Houston.
Cummings is working toward a bachelor of arts degree in broadcast journalism. She’s also an intern at KUHF Radio.
Cummings will be recognized during the TAPB radio and television competition awards banquet on Saturday, May 6, in San Antonio.
