NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) - In a story April 20, The Associated Press reported that a group of mental health professionals who believe Donald Trump is unfit to be president has been criticized for violating the American Psychiatric Association’s “Goldwater rule,” which says psychiatrists are not to give professional opinions on people they have not personally examined. The story should have made clear that while critics say the group, Duty to Warn, has violated the rule, the APA has not stated any position.
