WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (AP) - Los Angeles County sheriff’s detectives are investigating whether the shooting death of a woman and the suicide of a man a half-mile away are connected.
Deputy Trina Schrader says authorities responding Tuesday evening in West Hollywood found a woman on a sidewalk suffering from a single gunshot wound. The woman died at the scene.
Less than two hours later deputies found a man who had fatally shot himself in a parked car.
Officials say the car matches the description of a vehicle seen on surveillance footage near the scene of the first shooting.
Investigators are working Wednesday to determine if the two shootings are connected.
