FIRESTONE, Colo. (AP) - Two people are missing and two others were injured after a home exploded and caught fire in a northern Colorado town.
The cause of Monday’s explosion at the home in Firestone, a community of about 10,000 people 30 miles (48 kilometers) north of Denver, is still under investigation.
Two people were taken to the hospital in the immediate aftermath.
On Tuesday a spokeswoman for the Frederick-Firestone Fire Protection District, Summer Campos, said that two other people were unaccounted for. She said firefighters and investigators will slowly remove the rubble from the house looking for them, a process which could take two days.
