HONOLULU (AP) - Officials have released the name of a woman who died after falling about 50 feet while hiking on Oahu.

The Honolulu Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim on Saturday as 32-year-old Jennifer Allen.

Firefighters had responded to the Nuuanu trail on Thursday after someone reported a woman falling.

Rescuers found the woman unconscious at the base of a waterfall.

She was taken to a hospital in critical condition and later died.

It is still unclear what caused the Honolulu woman to fall.
