PORTLAND, Maine (AP) - Several hundred runners are participating in Maine’s oldest road race.
Warm weather and sunny skies were on tap Saturday for the 88th Boys & Girls Clubs Patriots Day 5-Miler in Portland.
The road race has long been a Patriot’s Day tradition but in recent years has been run on the weekend before the Boston Marathon.
The event is among the oldest road races in New England, dating back to 1930.
