LOS ANGELES (AP) - The San Pedro neighborhood of Los Angeles will keep one of its new decorative street signs with a misspelling that went unnoticed until all were installed along a main thoroughfare.

More than a dozen circular signs installed along Gaffey Street have an extra letter E in the word street.

The Gaffey Street gaffe became such a sensation this week that one errant sign will remain as is near the Gaffey Street Diner, while the others are corrected.

A spokesman for area City Council member Joe Buscaino tells the Daily Breeze (https://bit.ly/2p3WCJt) the sign has become a piece of the harbor district’s history, and diner owner Louise Taliulu predicts it will become a selfie spot.
