WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - The Delaware Department of Transportation has upgraded its mobile app.

The News Journal reports (https://delonline.us/2pfI757) that new features announced Thursday include a clickable road projects map, a sample Department of Motor Vehicles test and a form on which to report transportation issues, joining features like real-time bus and snow plow tracking.

The app uses phones’ geolocation information to help DelDOT officials identify the location of road problems. If the problem involves equipment under the department’s jurisdiction, an email will be sent to service technicians. If the equipment is owned by a different entity, the entity’s contact information will be provided to the user.

In-house computer programmers built the app, which is available on Android and Apple devices and has been downloaded around 60,000 times.
