RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Police have identified a teenage boy who was found shot outside an elementary school in Henrico County, Virginia.
Local news outlets report officer found 16-year-old Jamaa Khalik Scott suffering from signs of trauma outside Montrose Elementary School on Tuesday night. The victim was taken to VCU Medical Center, where he later died.
Henrico Police Sgt. Colin Rooney could not say if the shooting happened on school property. The school is closed this week for spring break.
Police do not have a suspect in custody. The investigation is ongoing.
