SCRANTON, Pa. (AP) - Residents in more than a dozen towns in Lackawanna County no longer have to boil their water.

Pennsylvania American Water on Wednesday lifted a boil water advisory that was issued on Saturday after a broken water fitting in Dunmore disrupted service.

Repairs were made and service resumed. But residents had to boil their water until test results showed water samples were at acceptable levels.
