NEW YORK (AP) - Police say a 63-year-old man has died after being hit by a vehicle in the parking lot of a New York City business.
The New York Police Department says officers responded around 3 p.m. Monday to reports of a man hit by a vehicle in the parking lot at Decorama Building and Plumbing Supplies on Metropolitan Avenue in Brooklyn.
When officers arrived they found an unconscious and unresponsive man suffering from head trauma. An emergency crew pronounced him dead at the scene. He was later identified as Hou Li of Brooklyn.
The Daily News reports Li worked at the business.
Police say a flatbed truck was backing out of the parking lot when it hit Li.
The driver hasn’t been charged. Police say their investigation is continuing.
