SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Authorities are searching for a northern Utah man who has been missing since he went out for a hike several days ago.

Benjamin Kritzer was last seen Thursday hiking in the mountains above Cottonwood Heights in Salt Lake County.

Police located the 28-year-old man’s car near the Ferguson Trailhead on Saturday. They continued search efforts through the weekend and started up again on Monday with no other signs of the Saratoga Springs man.

Police have voiced concerns about the cold, snowy weather conditions Kritzer could have faced over the last several days.

Drones, K-9s, and ground and air patrols have been used in the search efforts.

Kritzer’s family members from North Carolina have also traveled to Utah to participate.
