CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - It may still look like winter in New Hampshire, but it’s time to get those bobhouses off the ice.

Saturday is the deadline to remove all bobhouses, also known as ice shanties, from lakes and ponds.

The New Hampshire Fish and Game Department is reminding ice fishermen that state law also prohibits leaving bobhouses on public or private property without permission, or from burning a bobhouse on the ice. So anyone tempted to light a bonfire or leave a bobhouse on shore could face penalities, including a fine and a one-year loss of a fishing license.
