NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - One man is dead and an infant is injured after a shooting in North Charleston.

Police spokesman Spencer Pryor tells local media outlets officers responded to a shooting call just before 10 p.m. Friday.

Officers found a man on the ground who had been shot. He was later pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities say a child found with the man was wounded in the leg and taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Pryor says witnesses described the shooter as a man wearing all black.
