SAN DIEGO (AP) - Authorities say a man has died after jumping off San Diego’s Ocean Beach Pier.
San Diego police say the 27-year-old man was trying to retrieve personal belongings from the water on Friday night and apparently drowned.
Police say the man had been in a dispute with other people who threw the items into the water, but the death is not being investigated as a crime.
Lifeguards found the man about a half-hour later and took him to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
