EVERETT, Wash. (AP) - Two people have died in a house fire on Wetmore Avenue in Everett.

KING-TV reports (https://kng5.tv/2ou0D6r ) that Everett city officials say when they arrived at the home about 6 a.m., Saturday, it was fully engulfed in flames.

Firefighters were able to contain the fire in about 30 minutes. The fire was spreading to an adjacent home, but crews were able to contain the blaze to the main house with only minor damage to the outside of the second house.



The Everett Fire Department said two adults were found dead inside. They were initially identified as a male and female, but they were later determined to be two adult females.

The Medical Examiner’s Office is investigating the cause of death.

Fire investigators say they don’t believe the fire was suspicious.
