Pedestrian struck, killed by motorist in Millcreek

MILLCREEK, Utah (AP) - A 54-year-old man has died after being struck by a vehicle in Millcreek.

KSL-TV reports (https://bit.ly/2dwLVWY ) that Juan Manuel Puga-Hernandez died Wednesday after he was struck while crossing the street where there is no crosswalk.

The 26-year-old motorist immediately stopped her vehicle and tried to help before driving to a nearby business to call 911.

Puga-Hernandez was taken to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.

Unified Police Lt. Brian Lohrke says the driver was not cited or arrested.
