PHOENIX (AP) - A state commission that oversees appointments for the Arizona Court of Appeals is asking for input from the public.

The Commission on Appellate Court Appointments plans to interview 10 candidates next month for an opening created by the retirement of Judge Maurice Portley.

They include four Maricopa County Superior Court judges.

Anyone can submit comments in writing or by email. No anonymous comments will be considered.

Candidates’ applications are viewable on the commission’s website.

The commission will recommend at least three to Gov. Doug Ducey, who will make the final decision.
