Deaths of 2 Austin men, bodies in field, ruled homicides

DEL VALLE, Texas (AP) - Investigators say the deaths of two men whose bodies were found in a Central Texas field have been ruled homicides.

The Travis County Sheriff’s Office on Friday identified the victims as 25-year-old Salomon Segura Perez and 40-year-old Rene Rodriguez, also known as Martin Ybarra Molina, both of Austin.

Authorities say a woman on Tuesday discovered the bodies on her property in Del Valle (VAL’-ee).

Officials didn’t immediately release a cause of death for the two men. Investigators have not announced a possible motive for the slayings or any arrests.
