WAGGAMAN, La. (AP) - Incitec Pivot Ltd. has completed the construction of its $850 million ammonia plant in Waggaman.

Company officials said in a news release the plant is at an advanced stage of commissioning and performance testing is now underway.

The plant will create 65 jobs at an average salary of $55,700 and produce 880,000 tons of ammonia per year once it is online.



On Thursday, Gov. John Bel Edwards and Incitec Pivot Chairman Paul Brasher dedicated the completion of construction.
