ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) - White House official Cecilia Munoz is leading a discussion at the University of Michigan about federal and local partnerships.

Detroit’s housing director, Arthur Jemison, will join officials from Youngstown, Ohio, and Gary, Indiana, at the event Friday in Annenberg Auditorium in Ann Arbor.

Event organizers say the cities have relied on local, state and federal partnerships to resolve blight, crime, chronic homelessness and other issues.

Munoz is domestic policy council director in President Barack Obama’s administration. She’s also a University of Michigan graduate.
