NEW ORLEANS (AP) - New Orleans police say a police patrol car hit a cab at an intersection, knocking the cab into a hotel and a parked vehicle.

Officer Dawne Massey, a police spokeswoman, says Officer Joseph Deutsch was on duty when the crash occurred early Thursday.

Massey says in a news release that both the cab and the police car had to be towed away, but both drivers were released after treatment at hospitals.

She says investigators have not filed any charges, but the crash is still being investigated. Investigators are trying to get video from area surveillance cameras.

She says the cab damaged the door of the Hyatt Place Hotel.
