WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) - A South Florida man has been sentenced to life in prison for a fatal robbery.
The Palm Beach Post (https://goo.gl/X2noHi ) reports that Jamal Smith was sentenced Wednesday after a jury found him guilty of first-degree murder.
Prosecutors say Smith and another man arranged to meet Kemar Clayton at a supermarket parking lot in 2011 to sell him an iPad, but it was actually just a ruse to rob him. Clayton attempted to pull a gun, but Smith shot Clayton first.
