Hillary Clinton leads Donald Trump in a handful of battleground states, according to polls taken after Monday’s presidential debate that also showed voters saw Mrs. Clinton as winning the one-on-one showdown with Mr. Trump.

In head-to-head match-ups, Mrs. Clinton led Mr. Trump by 7 points in Colorado, 6 points in Virginia, 5 points in Pennsylvania, 4 points in North Carolina and 3 points in Florida, according to the surveys from the Democratic-leaning firm Public Policy Polling released Thursday.

Adding Libertarian Gary Johnson and Green Party candidate Jill Stein into the mix reduced Mrs. Clinton’s leads by 1 to 2 points in Colorado, Florida and North Carolina and increased her lead in Pennsylvania by 1 point.

Majorities of voters in each state judged Mrs. Clinton to be the winner of Monday’s debate, by margins ranging from 17 to 24 points.

The surveys of likely voters were conducted on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Mr. Trump, for his part, has pointed to several online polls that showed him winning the debate and also accused Google of suppressing negative news stories about Mrs. Clinton.

“A new post-debate poll just came out — the Google poll has us leading Hillary by 2 points nationwide,” Mr. Trump said in Wisconsin Wednesday. “And that’s despite the fact that Google’s search engine was suppressing the bad news about Hillary Clinton. How about that? How about that?”

Google has denied such allegations, which popped up several months ago on the website SourceFed and, more recently, the Russian news site Sputnik News.
