MOSCOW (AP) - One of Russia’s top sprinters has been banned for four years for doping.

Mikhail Idrisov has won three national 100-meter titles and took silver with Russia at the 2014 European team championships. The Russian anti-doping agency says he has been handed a four-year ban, backdated to June 2015, for an unspecified “breach of anti-doping rules.”

Four-year bans were also handed to regional-level athletes Evgeny Khokhlov and Tamara Shchemerova.

Russia’s team was almost entirely banned from Olympic track and field in Rio de Janeiro after a World Anti-Doping Agency report detailed widespread doping and cover-ups involving Russian anti-doping officers and government officials. Only U.S.-based long jumper Darya Klishina was allowed to compete.
