ALEXANDRIA, La. (AP) - The former president of Louisiana College has sued the private Baptist school.

The Town Talk (https://townta.lk/2daMtlN ) reports that Joe Aguillard sued for civil damages Tuesday in Rapides Parish.

Plaintiffs include the school and its current president, Rick Brewer, who took office in April 2015.

Aguillard was ousted as president in April 2014 when he was named president emeritus and put on a one-year sabbatical. The agreement called for him to return as a tenured faculty member in fall 2015.

Aguillard was fired from the faculty this past spring, and the school’s Board of Trustees stripped him of the honorary title April 12.
